Adds a single-page landing at apps/web/app/supercard for the Supercard AI-spend wallet concept.

Page

  • Hero: badge, title, subtitle, two CTAs, then the 3D card stage
  • AI spend fundamentals: three primitives — wallet, cards-as-spend-envelopes, self-funding rewards
  • Money path: pooled-versus-BYOK economics on a real $100 example
  • Who benefits: founders, providers, open-source agent authors
  • Partner outreach strip with a CTA back to the founder
  • Reuses the existing <Navbar /> / <Footer /> and brand primitives (Schibsted Grotesk + Geist Mono via the dark hero system)

3D card (components/supercard/)

  • Vanilla three (no extra R3F deps) loaded with next/dynamic + ssr: false
  • BoxGeometry body with MeshPhysicalMaterial sides + procedurally rendered CanvasTexture front (SUPERCARD wordmark, EMV chip, NFC glyph, masked 16-digit number, VALID THRU, cardholder) and back (signature strip, copy line, masked corners)
  • Holographic ShaderMaterial overlay above the front face, driven by time + pointer position
  • Eight category-satellite PlaneGeometry plates fan out behind the card with eased positions, rotations and opacities when the user hovers
  • Honors prefers-reduced-motion; full dispose / cleanup on unmount; DPR clamped to 2

Deps

  • Adds three and @types/three to apps/web/package.json

Verification

  • bun run typecheck passes
  • bun run lint reports no new issues on supercard files
  • Dev server serves /supercard with HTTP 200, pageerror and console.error capture shows no runtime errors
  • Visual sanity: idle card rest, hover tilts the card toward the cursor and fans the eight category satellites behind it

Changes

Supercard page

Layer / File(s) Summary
Card textures and scene construction
apps/web/components/supercard/card-textures.ts, apps/web/components/supercard/supercard-3d.tsx, apps/web/package.json
Canvas textures render card faces and category chips. The Three.js scene creates the card and chip meshes. The package adds Three.js dependencies.
Stage interaction and animation
apps/web/components/supercard/supercard-stage.tsx, apps/web/components/supercard/supercard-3d.tsx
The stage loads the scene on the client and sets its expanded state on hover or focus. The scene updates card scale, tilt, chip positions, and opacity, and disposes of rendering resources during cleanup.
Landing page content
apps/web/app/supercard/page.tsx
The page renders the hero, fundamentals, illustrative money flow, audience cards, partner outreach, and founder-call links.

Nova agent runtime and harness

Layer / File(s) Summary

Nova agent turns can end on a single failed tool call, and sandbox file reads and instruction loading can fail on normal repositories. Large harness requests can also be rejected before they run, and two test files will not pass. Fix these before merging; the Supercard page issues are minor polish.

Full details: Title check

Explanation

The title "feat(web): /supercard landing with 3D hover-expand card" matches the main change. The PR adds the /supercard landing page at apps/web/app/supercard/page.tsx, and it includes a Three.js card that expands on hover. The title names the page and the 3D card feature, which are the two main parts of the changeset. It omits the wider page content (fundamentals, money-flow example, partner outreach), but the summary does not need to cover every detail.

Full details: Docstring Coverage

Explanation

Docstring coverage is 0.00% which is insufficient. The required threshold is 80.00%. Docstring coverage is scoped to functions touched by this diff with cyclomatic complexity of at least 2. Documentation-only edits and deletions within surviving functions are included; unchanged diff context and fully deleted functions are excluded. Analyzed 6 functions across 4 files. Hovering the stage sends four category satellites completely outside the canvas and clips others because the expanded positions exceed the camera's field of view.

The animation loop reads an unadvanced clock, so the idle card motion and time-driven holographic effect remain frozen.

P1 Light mode hides the text

/supercard uses bg-background but hardcodes white headings and body text. The root ThemeProvider follows the system theme, whose light background is white. Light-mode visitors therefore cannot read most of the page. Give this route a dark theme or use text colors that follow the theme.

P1 WebGL failure breaks the page

If a visitor’s browser cannot create a WebGL context, WebGLRenderer throws from this effect. Nothing catches that error, and the dynamic import only supplies a loading view. The visitor gets a page error instead of the landing content. Catch the failure and leave a static card or fallback in place.

P2 Category plates leave the canvas

Every expanded stagger exceeds 1, so lerpVectors moves the plates past finalPos. For example, compute settles near x=5.00, while the camera can show only about ±3.61 at that depth. It disappears outside the canvas. Bound the movement to its intended range and fit the full arc inside the camera view.

Math.sin(angle) * radius * 0.55,
-1.5 - (i % 2 === 0 ? 0 : 0.5)
);
mesh.userData.finalRot = new THREE.Euler(0, -angle * 0.55, angle * 0.04);

P2 Category faces turn away

The leftmost category plates rotate away from the camera, but their materials draw only the front face. inference, search, and stt therefore disappear once expanded. This is separate from clipping: inference still faces away with the movement factor capped at 1. Keep the label faces toward the camera or draw both sides.

P2 Timed effects stay frozen

Reading clock.elapsedTime does not advance a THREE.Clock. Nothing calls getDelta() or getElapsedTime(), so t stays at zero. The idle movement and time-driven hologram never run. Use clock.getElapsedTime() or another advancing time source.

Suggested change
const t = clock.elapsedTime;
const t = clock.getElapsedTime();

P2 Reduced motion still moves

reducedMotion only removes the idle sine movement. Hover still tilts and enlarges the card, sends the plates across the canvas, and runs the stage’s CSS transitions. Respect the preference for those larger movements too, using a static or immediate expanded view.

P2 Plate textures skip cleanup

Cleanup disposes each plate’s material and geometry but never its map. Disposing a material does not dispose its textures. Dispose these eight CanvasTexture objects too, as already done for frontTex and backTex, so their graphics memory does not wait for browser context collection.

Suggested change
satellites.forEach((m) => {
(m.material as THREE.Material).dispose();
m.geometry.dispose();
});

P2 Brand fonts do not load

This route sits outside the layout that loads Schibsted Grotesk and Geist Mono. Its font-mono classes therefore use the system stack, and the body never receives the landing font. Reuse the landing font wrapper or load those fonts in a shared layout to deliver the typography described for this page.

P2 Hologram spills past the card

The hologram covers a full rectangle, but the card texture has transparent rounded edges. Its shader never checks that texture’s mask, so it paints colored pixels outside the visible card, especially as the pointer approaches an edge. Apply the same alpha mask to the overlay.

P2 Offscreen card keeps drawing

The render loop runs on every frame until unmount, even after the visitor scrolls below the card. This keeps drawing a high-resolution WebGL scene while the visitor reads the rest of the page, wasting graphics power and battery. Pause the loop when the stage is outside the viewport and resume it when visible.

Scope the $100 breakdown to pooled usage.

The table combines a $100 wallet, $82 provider cost, and an $18 “spread or BYOK fee.” The nearby paragraph distinguishes pooled gross take from the BYOK software fee, but the table itself is not scoped. Readers can therefore interpret the BYOK fee as part of the same wallet allocation. Label this as a pooled-usage example.

Scope the breakdown heading and “supercard take” row in the table to pooled
usage. Update the heading to identify it as a pooled-usage example and change
the row note to “pooled spread,” keeping the existing values and other table
content unchanged.

Apply reduced motion to interaction transitions.

When prefers-reduced-motion: reduce is active, skip or substantially shorten the interpolation for pointer tilt, card scaling, and satellite movement, rotation, and opacity. The current code only disables idle sway.

The issue is limited to visual motion and does not block the interaction, so minor severity and a localized, low-effort fix are appropriate.

Update the animation interpolation in the component containing `tiltStrength`,
`idleX`, and `idleY` to respect `reducedMotion`: skip or substantially shorten
pointer-tilt and card-scale transitions, as well as satellite movement,
rotation, and opacity transitions, while keeping interactions functional.

Dispose each satellite texture during cleanup.

createChipTexture(cat) creates eight textures per scene setup. This loop disposes their materials and geometries but leaves m.material.map undisposed. Unmounting the stage or changing the reduced-motion preference recreates those resources. Dispose each map before disposing its material. Three.js does not dispose a material’s textures automatically. (threejs.org)

Disable stage transitions for reduced motion.

When a user focuses the stage with prefers-reduced-motion: reduce, the stage still scales over 700 ms. The category labels also translate over 500 ms at Line 60. Add reduced-motion variants to both transitions. Based on learnings: frontend animations must honor prefers-reduced-motion.
