Why

WebdriverIO 10.1.0 has fixes that the visual service uses, for example:

• fix(webdriverio): give the page its scroll events before a click in Safari on iOS webdriverio#16133 and #16049: the page gets its scroll events before a click (also Safari on iOS);
• fix(webdriverio): emulate a device when Chrome says viewport meta is not implemented webdriverio#16082: emulate('device', …) continues when Chrome says that viewport meta is not implemented;
• fix(webdriverio): send the screenshot events of WebDriver BiDi screenshots to the reporters webdriverio#16064: the screenshot events of WebDriver BiDi screenshots go to the reporters;
• chore(deps): use expect-webdriverio 8.0.0 webdriverio#16024: it uses expect-webdriverio 8.0.0, the version of this repo.

What

• The development ranges in the root and in the packages' devDependencies are ^10.1.0. The published dependency and peer ranges do not change, so users are not affected. No changeset.
• pnpm-workspace.yaml: 10.1.0 was published on 2026-10-18 at 21:18 UTC, so pnpm allows it only with an exception for each package (added by pnpm). Remove the exception after 2026-10-19 21:20 UTC.
• The expect-webdriverio 8.0.0 exception expired on 2026-10-11, so it is removed.

Test

• pnpm install --frozen-lockfile, pnpm build, and pnpm test (lint, types, 1196 unit tests) pass.
• No package lost its hasBin entry in the lockfile.
• The CI of this PR runs the local Chrome suites and the Android and iOS jobs (the lockfile changed).
