This is a minimal reproduction project for wallabyjs/public#3651.
It uses:
- the dependency ranges from the issue diagnostics;
- Node.js 23.7.0, as reported in the issue;
- the exact
vitest.config.tssupplied by the reporter; - Next.js on port 3000 and two small HTTP services on ports 4040 and 5050;
- one Vitest test that should pass.
Use Node.js 23.7.0 and install the locked dependencies:
npm ciVitest does not list Node.js 23 in its supported engine range, so npm prints an engine warning. That warning is expected for this reproduction.
- Open this folder in VS Code.
- Run the
Wallaby.js: Startcommand. Wallaby should use automatic configuration. - Check whether Wallaby starts and reports one passing test.
If Wallaby hangs, copy its diagnostics report before restarting it and add the report to the issue.
To run Vitest without Wallaby:
npm test
