Description

This PR introduces a comprehensive "Premium Obsidian" UI overhaul alongside critical bug fixes and performance improvements.

Key Changes:

  • Layout Optimization: Increased the max container width to 1600px and reduced excessive desktop padding to better utilize screen space.
  • Premium UI Overhaul (Dark Mode): Replaced the generic template look with a deep obsidian background (#050505), added a subtle noise texture overlay, refined typography (editorial style), and customized the "Cyberpunk Cyan" accent color.
  • Card & Component Restyling: Removed large, generic border-radii in favor of sharper, structured edges (radius-md: 4px). Applied "Glassmorphism" floating panel effects with 1px glowing borders and smooth lift animations on hover.
  • Code Syntax Highlighting: Added GitHub-style syntax highlighting for code blocks (e.g., JSON) inside plugin descriptions, and implemented theme-aware custom scrollbars.
  • "Top Plugins" Podium Redesign: Completely redesigned the leaderboard into an asymmetrical "Podium" layout. The top 3 plugins now feature Metallic glows (Gold, Silver, Bronze), an enlarged layout, and elegant inline rank badges (replacing the massive, distracting watermark numbers).
  • "Recent Releases" Enhancements: Upgraded the grid to 4 columns on large screens. Featured the newest plugin in a large, asymmetrical "Glass-panel" card. Added global platform stats (Total Plugins, Downloads, Builds) above this section.

Bug Fixes & Refactoring:

  • Light Theme Compatibility: Fixed major CSS cascade issues where dark mode tokens were permanently overriding light mode. Replaced hardcoded colors (bg-[#0a0a0a], text-white) with dynamic CSS variables (bg-surface-card, text-text-primary).
  • Search Bar Performance: Fixed a severe input lag/feedback loop in PluginSearch.tsx by implementing a proper useRef typing flag and debounce mechanism to prevent the component from fighting with the URL state.
  • Pagination: Updated pageSize from 10 to 12 in src/app/plugins/page.tsx to maintain perfect symmetry across the 3/4-column grids.
  • Env Config: Fixed an invalid NEXT_PUBLIC_API_URL by adding the https:// protocol to ensure fetch requests succeed.

Related Issue

Fixes UI spacing issues, Light Mode visual bugs, and Search Bar input lag.

Motivation and Context

The previous UI felt too generic, had excessive whitespace on desktop, and suffered from functional bugs (Search bar lag, broken Light Theme). This update elevates the platform to feel like a high-end, professional "Digital Gallery" for developers, while ensuring robust functionality and responsiveness across both themes.

How Has This Been Tested?

  • Manually tested switching between Light and Dark themes to ensure all text, borders, and hover effects adapt correctly.
  • Tested typing rapidly in the Plugin Search bar to confirm the debounce works and cursor jumping/lag is eliminated.
  • Verified the "Top Plugins" and "Recent Releases" layouts respond perfectly on Desktop (up to 1600px) and Mobile screens without overlapping text.
