Previously, when a user pasted the same image more than once from HTML content, such as from another editor or a Microsoft Word document, the **PowerPaste** plugin created a new blob URL for each copy. The editor treated each copy as a separate image and uploaded each one. Without the **PowerPaste** plugin, copies of the same pasted image already shared one blob URL.

In {productname} {release-version}, the **PowerPaste** plugin checks whether the editor contains an image with identical data. When the editor already contains a matching image, the plugin reuses the blob URL of that image. Copies of the same image now share one blob URL for every paste source. The editor uploads the image only once.
