Hello everyone
SourceGit has released over 170+ versions since it was opened in 2020.
I just want to share the Git tool I am using, hoping to help more people improve their work efficiency. I do not expect it to become a popular tool, nor have I actively promoted it, nor do I care about the number of stars, and I certainly do not intend to use it to increase my income.
I feel very gratified to see more and more people starting to use it. I am happy to receive so much feedback and suggestions from everyone, and I do my best to improve and refine this tool. However, recently, I have found myself stretched thin in terms of time and energy, and I feel like I am working for other people's projects, losing the passion and enjoyment I once had.
Importantly, I do not want this project to be affected by my own state. So after a few days of consideration, I have decided to hand over the maintenance of this project to other capable developers. I hope that under their efforts, SourceGit can continue to grow, and I also hope everyone will continue to support this project as always.
Until a suitable candidate is found, I will continue to maintain the project to ensure its normal operation (but limited to bug fixes). Once a suitable candidate is found, I will officially hand over the maintenance work and will no longer participate in related development and decisions.
I hope everyone can understand my decision, and I hope SourceGit can continue to thrive under new maintainers.
Here are some of my requirements and expectations for the maintainer:
- Commit to keeping the SourceGit project open source and free forever (donations are acceptable, but it cannot be monetized)
- Have the ability to continuously maintain and update SourceGit, ensuring the healthy development of the project. Relevant experience and capabilities can be shared in the replies below.
- Respect the opinions and suggestions of the community and actively interact with users.
Replies are limited to developers interested in taking over the SourceGit project; please do not post unrelated content.
