I do not think it will be cherry-picked to the next 12.0.5. You can read the PR description - there are many things to do before it is ready for productions
Avalonia 12.1 has now been released and is already at 12.1.3, with the Wayland backend from AvaloniaUI/Avalonia#21448 included and receiving further Wayland fixes in the 12.1.x releases.
I also noticed that SourceGit briefly upgraded to Avalonia 12.0.5 and then downgraded because of the TextEditor performance and memory regressions. In #2551, you mentioned that the TextEditor issue had been resolved in 12.1.0, although the overall performance/memory problem might not have been limited to TextEditor.
Would it be worth revisiting the Avalonia 12.1 upgrade / native Wayland support now?

Edit: I did it myself. ( #2768 )
