MPT-26825 add a deferrable agreement sync example - #148
Third of three stacked PRs for MPT-26825, on top of the test refactor. This one carries the example itself.
What
Adds the template's example of a deferrable API route.
POST /api/v2/agreements/sync serves both call modes from one handler. A plain call syncs and answers with the agreement. A call with MPT-Async: true runs as a platform Task: it reports progress while it sleeps, syncs at the end and returns a result pointing at the agreement. The sleep is deliberate, so the Extension Service delivers the same task again while the execution is still running — the redelivery an extension has to tolerate. The agreement id travels in the body, because a deferrable route cannot declare path parameters, and the body validator constrains it to safe id characters, since the API client does not escape path segments.
The agreement plug gets a "Sync in background" action that follows that Task on the Marketplace API, polling GET /public/v1/system/tasks/{id} with the caller's token and showing its status and progress. It follows a task only while it is on screen: the state is bound to the agreement in context, and nothing is remembered across a reload, because the Tasks API cannot be asked for the open task of an agreement. docs/examples.md says so explicitly.
Paths, intervals and shared test payloads live in frontend/src/shared/constants.ts and frontend/src/shared/test-utils/agreement-mocks.ts.
The agreement sync API accepts a validated request body and supports direct or deferred execution. The frontend provides direct and background sync actions, polls deferred task status, and displays task progress and status.
Changes: Agreement Synchronization
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Deferrable agreement sync API backend/mpt_extension_python_template/routers/api/agreement.py, backend/tests/routers/test_agreements.py, backend/tests/test_app.py, docs/architecture.md, docs/examples.md
The route accepts agreementId in the request body and supports direct responses or deferred task results. Backend tests cover payload validation, route metadata, and progress reporting. Documentation describes the API and task behavior.
The hook supports direct and deferred requests, tracks task status and progress, and polls task results. It resets state when the agreement changes and ignores responses for agreements it no longer follows. Tests cover polling, failures, and agreement changes.
The agreement view provides direct and background sync buttons and displays deferred task details. Both buttons are disabled when the agreement ID is missing, a sync is loading, or a background task is running. Tests cover the controls and task completion.
The new deferred-sync progress test is likely to fail because it reads the wrong await counter from the mocked sleep. Fix the fixture before merging so the backend test suite passes.

Explanation
Documentation is updated for the changed behavior. The PR changes the deferrable POST /api/v2/agreements/sync route and the agreement plug. docs/examples.md:37-89 documents the request body, direct and deferred modes, progress, redelivery, task polling, failure handling, tracking limits, and the no-path-parameter constraint. docs/examples.md:229 documents the plug actions. docs/architecture.md:25-29 records the deferrable entry point, and AGENTS.md:31-34 updates the shared frontend navigation. This matches the repository documentation map in docs/documentation.md:19-27 and the shared documentation standard.

Learning: In `backend/mpt_extension_python_template/routers/api/agreement.py`, `AgreementService.update` from the current `mpt-api-client` interface does not support conditional writes, ETags, `If-Match`, or revision preconditions. `sync_agreement` must send only the extension-owned fulfillment parameter (`lastSyncedBy`) through `ctx.vendor_mpt_api_service` instead of writing back the read agreement parameter snapshot.

Assert the vendor write in the deferred-sync test.
The deferred tests assert the task reference, log, and progress. They would still pass if the deferred handler stopped calling _sync_vendor_external_id, even though that call performs the sync. Assert the vendor-service update in test_sync_deferred_returns_task_result, as the direct-sync test does. (raw.githubusercontent.com)

Update test_sync_deferred_returns_task_result to assert the vendor-service
update performed through _sync_vendor_external_id, matching the vendor-update
assertion in the direct-sync test, so the test verifies the deferred handler
performs the sync.

Turn the agreement sync into the template's example of a deferrable API route,
so an extension developer can see both call modes served by one handler.
`POST /api/v2/agreements/sync` takes the agreement id in the body, because a
deferrable route cannot declare path parameters, and declares the processing
budget its deferred branch needs. The body validator constrains that id to safe
id characters, since the API client does not escape path segments. A plain call
syncs and answers with the agreement. A call with `MPT-Async: true` runs as a
platform Task: it reports progress while it sleeps, syncs at the end and returns
a result pointing at the agreement. The sleep is deliberate, so the Extension
Service delivers the same task again while the execution is still running.
The agreement plug gets a "Sync in background" action that follows that Task on
the Marketplace API itself, polling `GET /public/v1/system/tasks/{id}` with the
caller's token and showing the task, its status and its progress. It follows a
task only while it is on screen: the state is bound to the agreement in context,
so a task followed for a previous agreement cannot carry over, and nothing is
remembered across a reload, since the Tasks API cannot be asked for the open task
of an agreement. Paths, intervals and test payloads shared by the hook and its
tests move to `shared/constants.ts` and `shared/test-utils/agreement-mocks.ts`.
Note that the plug can only read the Task once MPT-26417 ships in v5.10;
before that the Tasks API answers 403 to a client account.
autospec=True returns a signature-checking wrapper. In Python 3.12, the wrapper's await_count remains 0, while the delegated AsyncMock tracks awaits. The assertion can therefore fail.

Update the mock_sleep fixture to return the underlying AsyncMock from the
patched asyncio.sleep function, so await_count reflects awaited calls while
preserving the autospec signature check.
