feat: add support for user-defined types in Postgres DAO with optimized catalog queries - #1890
Conversation
…ed catalog queries
📝 Walkthrough
Merge Risk: 🔵 Low · up to Tables using unusual quoted type names may receive incorrect enum or composite metadata. The risk is narrow, but the key should be made unambiguous. Pre-merge checks |

unambiguous pair, so identifiers containing periods cannot collide; keep key

🗄️ Data Integrity & Integration | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick win
Use an unambiguous key for each custom type.
If a table uses "a.b"."c" and "a"."b.c", customTypeKey returns a.b.c for both types. The catalog rows then share one description, so the returned columns can contain each other’s enum labels or composite attributes. PostgreSQL permits periods in quoted identifiers. Use an unambiguous pair encoding, such as JSON.stringify([schema, name]). (postgresql.org)
