Coordinate PyPI handoff for types-httpretty #16047
@adamtheturtle What's your plan about types-httpretty? At the moment, we can't upload types-httpretty from typeshed, since the name is already in use. We could either use a different name for the package in typeshed (types-httpretty-ts would be customary) or we'd need to transfer the package to the PyPI user typeshed_bot. (I think @ilevkivskyi would need to get involved as the owner of that user account.)

@srittau I'd like to give away ownership. I have invited
typeshed_botto be an owner just now. Please let me know if there's more that I should do.ilevkivskyi commentedon Aug 26, 2026
To confirm, I just received an invitation for the typeshed bot. @srittau should I go ahead and accept it?
srittau commentedon Aug 26, 2026
@ilevkivskyi Yes, please. This should allow typeshed_uploader to upload the package. I will test this as soon as the user has permission.
adamtheturtle commentedon Aug 26, 2026
Feel free to remove me as an owner whenever you want.
ilevkivskyi commentedon Aug 26, 2026
OK, thanks @adamtheturtle I accepted the invite as typeshed_bot and removed you.

I've forced an upload, which seems to have worked: https://pypi.org/project/types-httpretty/
Thanks, everybody!
