I suspect this project is abandoned, last release is from 3 years ago, last updates are from 7 months ago but are all about refreshing the copyright year and updating the CoC, latest change to the code is also from 3 years ago.

This library should work with plotly.js v3 (or higher) because the peer dependency specifier only sets a lower bound. That being said, I'm working on updating the testing to use plotly.js v3 and updating the peer dep to require v3.

I think abandoned is the wrong word. This is more like the OSS library equivalent of not responding to an email and then it gets buried in your inbox. We've been building tools to keep better track of issues/PRs, but we're a small team managing a lot of libraries, so updates will likely be slow to come. However, we are paying attention now. The best way to get this library updated in a more timely manner is to put together a PR and help us maintain it (if you have time).

it's working for me with Plotly.js v3.0.0-rc.2.
However, I only use common chart types such as histograms, scatter plots, and ternary charts. Not sure about others.
But I really appreciate new update release of react-plotly!

This version uses React v16, are you going to support the latest version?
Lexachoc commentedon Aug 12, 2025
I'm using it with react 18.3.1, but I am not sure if it works with react 19 or not.

Does anybody have Plotly working in react without react-plotly?
salvatoredibenedetto commentedon Apr 9, 2026
@martabitbrain i created a react wrapper myself, that's the best solution i can suggest

Thanks @salvatoredibenedetto , I'll do that.

I just published react-plotly.js v3.0.0. Give it a go and let us know if you run into problems. Closed by #365.
