🧭 Context

vue-data-ui 3.28.7 improved fullscreen layouts, making it ready to use in prod.
The latest version also adds more capabilities for the built-in annotator.

📚 Description

  • Fullscreen option is now available in the chart menus:
image

Clicking the fullscreen button opens the chart in fullscreen. Esc to close fullscreen, or using the same toggle button again in the menu.

  • New built-in annotator features:
    • annotations now remain anchored, so that they "move" when using the zoom:
Enregistrement.de.l.ecran.2026-10-29.a.17.08.31.mov
  • annotations can be selected, grouped, ungrouped:
Enregistrement.de.l.ecran.2026-10-29.a.17.09.32.mov

Other:

  • Slots for the annotator actions was refactored to DRY

📝 Summary

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • New Features
    • Added fullscreen controls to comparison and package charts, with clear icons for entering and exiting fullscreen.
    • Added consistent icons for chart annotation tools, including multiple selection and grouping actions.
    • Added fullscreen controls to Trends charts, with translated button labels in English and French.
  • Style
    • Made the background behind pen-and-paper group actions transparent for a cleaner chart appearance.

Chart components now use shared annotator and fullscreen icon components. Fullscreen controls are enabled across several charts with translated titles. The change adds annotator slot mappings, accessibility tests, and a chart-library version update.

Changes: Chart controls

Layer / File(s) Summary
Shared icon contracts and components
app/utils/charts.ts, app/components/Chart/*.vue, uno.config.ts
The chart utilities export annotator slot names and icon mappings. New components render annotator and fullscreen icons. UnoCSS scans the chart utility file for icon classes.

app/components/Compare/*.vue, app/components/Package/*.vue, shared/utils/trends-chart.ts, i18n/locales/*.json, i18n/schema.json, app/assets/main.css, package.json, pnpm-workspace.yaml
Chart components use the shared icons and enable fullscreen controls with translated titles. The English and French locales and schema include the fullscreen label. The chart-library dependency version and group-actions styling are updated.
Icon accessibility tests
test/nuxt/a11y.spec.ts
Accessibility tests cover annotator slot variants and both fullscreen icon states.

1547-1551: Trivial · Maintainability & Code Quality · Quick win

Test the group and ungroup icon mapping in a unit test, not the decorative accessibility block.

The ChartAnnotatorIcon cases assert only aria-hidden="true" and empty axe violations. They do not check which icon renders. Swapping the annotator-action-group and annotator-action-ungroup mappings in getAnnotatorIcon would still pass this block. No other test in the inspected suite checks these icon names.

This block tests decorative behaviour, so icon identity does not belong here. Add a direct assertion on getAnnotatorIcon. The group and ungroup branches read no slot props, so no props are needed:

import { getAnnotatorIcon } from '~/utils/charts'

it('maps group and ungroup actions to distinct icons', () => {
  expect(getAnnotatorIcon('annotator-action-group')).toBe('i-lucide:group')
  expect(getAnnotatorIcon('annotator-action-ungroup')).toBe('i-lucide:ungroup')
})

Use a unit test file that does not mock ~/utils/charts.

Review comment at @test/nuxt/a11y.spec.ts around lines 1547 - 1551:
Add a unit test for getAnnotatorIcon in a test file that does not mock
~/utils/charts, asserting that the group and ungroup actions map to their
respective distinct icons. Keep the ChartAnnotatorIcon accessibility cases
focused on decorative behaviour.

1555-1562: Trivial · Maintainability & Code Quality · Low value

Cover the fullscreen icon glyph in its state test.

The ChartFullscreenIcon test runs for both isFullscreen states. It checks only aria-hidden and axe violations. No test asserts the i-lucide:minimize or i-lucide:maximize class. A regression that always renders i-lucide:maximize still passes. This is a coverage gap for the state-dependent glyph, not a current defect, because the ternary in FullscreenIcon.vue already selects the correct class. The glyph check extends beyond the decorative contract that this test's name describes, so it is a separate, optional addition to this block.

Suggested fix
     it.each([false, true])('stays decorative when fullscreen is %s', async isFullscreen => {
       const component = await mountSuspended(ChartFullscreenIcon, {
         props: { isFullscreen },
       })
-      expect(component.get('span').attributes('aria-hidden')).toBe('true')
+      const icon = component.get('span')
+      expect(icon.attributes('aria-hidden')).toBe('true')
+      expect(icon.classes()).toContain(isFullscreen ? 'i-lucide:minimize' : 'i-lucide:maximize')
       const results = await runAxe(component)
       expect(results.violations).toEqual([])
     })

Review comment at @test/nuxt/a11y.spec.ts around lines 1555 - 1562:
Extend the `ChartFullscreenIcon` state test to assert the state-dependent glyph
class as well as its decorative `aria-hidden` attribute: expect
`i-lucide:minimize` when `isFullscreen` is true and `i-lucide:maximize` when
false. Reuse the selected `span` element for both assertions.
