Summary
Follow-up to the merged CI modernization PR. Remove remaining Code Climate integrations where present, fix upstream/master CI badge URLs, and add Coveralls coverage badges.
Start SimpleCov before application code, track every lib Ruby file including unexecuted files, and exclude specs. Only the Ruby 3.4 / Mongoid 9 / MongoDB 8.0 representative job installs coverage dependencies and uploads its actual coverage/.resultset.json using the official Coveralls action and GITHUB_TOKEN. No additional secret tokens, fake reports, parallel-upload coordination, or duplicate matrix submissions. Legacy Ruby/interpreter combinations remain unchanged.
Validation
Local Ruby 3.4.9 / Mongoid 9 / MongoDB 7.0.12 suite with COVERAGE=true: 115 examples, 0 failures; 378/430 lines (87.91%).
Confirmed nonempty line data in the generated SimpleCov JSON. Changed Ruby files pass RuboCop; workflows parse and git diff --check passes. Ignored reports/lockfiles are not committed.
All 11 GitHub checks passed on final single commit
0052361, including legacy/interpreter jobs and Ruby 4.0 / Mongoid 9 / MongoDB 8.0. The representative Ruby 3.4 job generated real SimpleCov data and Coveralls accepted the upload with an API success response: https://coveralls.io/jobs/189620371. Upload errors are not ignored. Public report HTML is currently behind a Coveralls/Cloudflare challenge in this environment, so public rendering and the master badge after merge are not independently verified.
