Daily Digest: 2026-10-11 #1380

Highlights

• Nightly Release & Integration Tests are failing (CI failure requiring attention)
• Issue ALTER ENTITY drops unmodelled properties (LocalizeDate / Documentation), making mxcli-written branches unmergeable (Mendix merge/diff InvalidOperationException) #1373 resolved: Fixed ALTER ENTITY dropping unmodelled properties via canonicalization and version-aware writing improvements
• Two new issues opened: Offline navigation profiles (Offline navigation profiles cannot be made to work offline: no MDL for Progressive web app settings #1377) and datagrid column attribute limitations (MDL-WIDGET34/42: datagrid column Attribute: does not accept multi-hop association paths #1379)

Code Changes

• Version/property handling: Major work on issue ALTER ENTITY drops unmodelled properties (LocalizeDate / Documentation), making mxcli-written branches unmergeable (Mendix merge/diff InvalidOperationException) #1373 – adjusted canonicalization, writing, and version checks to only include properties declared by the project's Mendix version (e.g., feat(canon): strip properties version doesn't declare, fix(writer): avoid 11.12-only features on older projects)
• Documentation: Wiki digests for MDL components and CLI commands; updated README with 2000px poster image
• Compatibility fixes: REST/microflow adjustments for Mendix 10 (e.g., fix(rest): remove Rest$JsonBody, fix(microflows): correct close page n behavior)
• Testing: Enhanced integration tests for version floors, property sets, and doctype gates
