Summary

  • Add a Bazel target for examples/examples-release-latest and build it in CI so example compile failures are caught on PRs.
  • Follow-up to Fix generic type inference in ServerSideApply example #4909 (examples were dropped from CI during the Maven → Bazel switch).
  • Exclude examples that need Maven deps not already in the Bazel graph (commons-cli, Spring, published CRD model jars) to keep this change dependency-free.

Test plan

  • bazel build --config=ci //examples/examples-release-latest:client-java-examples
  • Confirm the Bazel GitHub Actions workflow builds the new examples target

Add a Bazel target for examples and build it in CI so sample code compile
failures are caught on PRs. Sources that need extra Maven deps are excluded
to avoid lockfile changes.
