where to add prefixes to column?

var Person = db.define('person', {
  name : String     //   database column = col_name
});

I think what you're looking for is addressed in #488 (amongst other things). Hopefully it will be merged soon.

This should now be possible in master.

A new official version will be released in the near future.

Basically you need to do:

var Person = db.define('person', {
  name : { type: 'text', mapsTo: 'col_name' }
});
