Why
The README used to have an "Add C/C++ Linter Action badge in README" section. It was dropped in the README rework (#493). That section had two problems:
cpp-linter.ymlworkflow, not the user's own lint runs.A badge in users' READMEs is still worth having: each one links back to the project.
What changed
New "Add a badge" section before "Used by", with:
C/C++ lint | cpp-linter, in the org colors, linking to this repository. It does not depend on any workflow, so it never breaks.cpp-linter.ymlworkflow from Quick start, withOWNER/REPOto replace, for users who want to show their lint result.
