Verified findings

  • Doc claim (1-getting-started.md): "setup … installs the available session hook or tracker and the AI DevKit built-in skills." Reality: since 0.68 setup also wires the global ai-devkit-memory MCP server into MCP-capable agents, and --agent <agents> filters which agents are set up (codex|pi|claude|gemini|cursor|opencode|grok) — packages/cli/src/commands/setup.ts:22-23, services/setup/memory-mcp/spec.ts.
  • Improvement: "Verify the First Run" jumps straight to agent list; ai-devkit status is the natural health check and should come first.

What changed

  • Intro + machine-setup paragraphs now mention memory MCP wiring
  • Documented setup --agent with the supported values
  • Added ai-devkit status as the first readiness check in Verify the First Run

Validation

  • npm run build in web/: pass
  • npm run lint at root: pass
