What is this note about?
A research note on OpenSandbox as universal sandbox infrastructure for AI applications. It covers lifecycle and execution APIs, Docker/Kubernetes runtimes, SDKs and MCP, network policy, credential vaults, strong isolation, and Cloud Foundry relevance.
OpenSandbox is also proposed to the Agentic AI Foundation in AAIF project proposal #26. The proposal describes it as a vendor- and framework-neutral isolated execution substrate for agent actions, including command execution, files, browsers, generated code, and evaluation workloads. This is a proposal, not a confirmed AAIF project status.
