The CLI currently does not have end to end tests to check if argument passed to the command made it to the application logic. This can be solved in various ways, this issue tracks adding support for better tests in parquet CLI
I'm taking this forward, starting with #3843. Here's a coverage tracker for tests that exercise CLI arguments and check output and exit codes. Items will be checked off once merged; existing direct command tests aren't counted here.
Focus on arguments reaching application logic and observable results, rather than exhaustive help text, aliases, or parser errors.

I'll work through small batches, choosing representative options for each command. The list tracks remaining coverage, not a fixed PR split.
