Hi @andygrove, I'd be interested in contributing this. I noticed that the repository already has a contributor guide under docs/source/contributor-guide/. I could add a concise root-level CONTRIBUTING.md linking to the existing instructions, explaining the contribution workflow, and pointing to the relevant development and validation commands without duplicating the guide. Would that scope be appropriate?
