🎯 What & why

The implement skill commits per task. On a project whose pre-commit hook runs the full suite, every commit became a 15–30 min wait that the agent filled with polling: about twelve hours lost over two runs (Mistral Large 4 and Claude Opus 5.5) on gouvernail#164. The memory template now asks the project to say what each hook runs.

🛠️ How it works

A Hooks section in the vcs.md template, two lines: pre-commit under a minute (format and lint the staged files, test the changed files), pre-push for everything long. The hidden capture note says why. See vcs.md:25.

🧪 How to verify

  • aidd-context:02-project-memory setup on a project: the written vcs.md carries the two hook lines.

⚠️ Heads-up

The framework's own vcs.md already splits its hooks (coding-assertions.md); nothing to change there.

…mory template

An agent commits per task. A pre-commit that runs the full suite turns
each commit into a fifteen-minute wait the agent fills with polling;
two runs on one project lost about twelve hours this way.
