Inject CSS gains scheduled and manual dependency updates through the shared GitHub App. Renovate groups Browser and Chrome type updates into deps/update-dependencies; deps commits trigger a patch release under Dependencies, while ordinary ci commits do not release a new version.

The release tooling is upgraded to release-it 21 and conventional-changelog 12, with the changelog migrated to the function template API. All npm overrides are removed. CI validates the library on Ubuntu and Windows with Node.js 18/20/22 for PRs into main, and checks release tooling separately on Node.js 22.23.3.

Validation:

  • The develop CI run passed lint, type checks, build, 98 Jest tests, 8 release tooling tests, and strict Renovate configuration validation.
  • Release integration tests cover dependency patch releases, generated release notes, and skipping CI-only releases without publishing.
  • Production dependency audit is clean. Full audit still reports 6 high and 19 moderate entries from the two documented upstream development-tool issues in basic-ftp and sprintf-js; no overrides are used to suppress them.

Full PR CI passed for commit 8d6fb60: all six Ubuntu 24.04/Windows × Node.js 18/20/22 jobs, release tooling, strict Renovate validation, and the aggregate CI passed check. CI run.
