Resolve missing-manager failures through the RPC envelope and reject malformed responses with RelayProtocolError. Preserve synchronous dispatch and the final retry at 2700ms. Add isolated-runtime and Chrome/Firefox regressions. Refs #109.
Replace Browser module mocks and hand-written runtime stubs with real background registration and context-bound harness messaging. Merge all ProxyService.context.test.ts scenarios into ProxyService.test.ts and split registration coverage into RegisterService.test.ts. Preserve offscreen capability and error cases, cover MV2 background-page detection, transport recovery and listener cleanup without asserting logging policy. Remove Service from the legacy inventory and update migration progress. Validation: 23 Service/transport tests, typecheck and test inventory pass. The full six-project suite passed 202 suites and 1998 tests before the final two MV2 cases and removal of the logging-count assertion.
Run SandboxMessage tests with real request IDs and session-owned cleanup. Preserve request, error and cache scenarios, verify out-of-order responses, and cover deterministic deadlines and disposal of pending requests. Consolidate harness lifecycle hooks in jest.setup.ts. Remove setup selection, the legacy message dispatcher and module mocks, and jest-webextension-mock. Update the inventory and README while retaining the eight local-mock entries. Validation: 202 suites and 2001 tests passed across all six Jest projects, including Chrome and Firefox. Typecheck, test inventory and formatting passed.
Exercise locale storage, i18n and content URLs through the Browser harness. Rename the empty local-mock inventory and retain explicit generated-module and custom-driver boundaries.
Group test commands by execution scope and select features through Jest filters. Separate fixture typechecks from declaration tests and use check for pre-push. Update CI and contributor documentation without adding redundant package builds.
Match full Relay definitions before the partial bootstrap input and share the content constructor contract. Emitted runtime JavaScript remains unchanged. Keep registry and path checks in the declaration matrix; check constructors, prepared data, adapters and virtual bootstrap in source/package type fixtures. Validation: 203 suites and 2003 tests passed, including Chrome and Firefox.
Record raw local measurements, reproducible commands and comparison limits for the harness migration and subsequent Relay type-inference optimization. Distinguish repeated group timings from single full-suite and pre-push runs.
Preserve all 33 cases and isolated fixture builds while removing the single-file tail. Record repeated benchmarks at eight and two workers and full-suite validation.
Route browser integrations through a shared session with one startup deadline and cleanup. Collect per-start timings and failures, and upload reports from browser CI jobs. Validate deadline handling, report aggregation, and two full runs of 208 suites and 2008 tests.
Return Stats after compiler shutdown and preserve compilation and close failures. Keep one-shot build output and exit codes in the CLI; leave watch behavior unchanged. Cover real Rspack lifecycle and CLI failures with tests, fixtures, and documentation.
Restore the environment after one-shot builds and reject overlapping calls. Keep the pilot limited to TypeScript configs and place package-level tests in integrations.
Preserve absolute entrypoint imports and resolve source aliases, compiler context and virtual-module package dependencies from the consumer root. Use portable virtual names and separate temporary directories per project; prepare them recursively to avoid creation and cleanup races across workers. Resolve the offscreen background entry through its direct virtual alias. Cover CLI and buildApp from an unrelated cwd with Chrome/Firefox builds, relative imports, aliases, A-B-A state restoration and controlled overlap.
Select the backend in the fixture helper without changing the 33 override scenarios. Keep CLI as the default and retain it for competing-entry tests. Use the native loader with temporary environment restoration, passing an absolute project root without changing the worker cwd. Recognize consumer fixtures by both package.json and adnbn.config.ts so internal CLI config fixtures are not prepared as standalone applications.
Add repeatable comparisons with worker heap/RSS, scenario identity, fixture cleanup and open-handle checks, plus a 90-build retention probe. Keep CLI as default despite local speedups. Include a standalone Rspack WeakRef reproduction with static/function controls, raw measurements and validation limits, including the observed Chrome startup timeout.
Keep absolute-root resolution and portable entrypoint names. Restore the external plugin's directory names. Preserve the shared-cwd conflict as a standalone upstream diagnostic.
Replace the Jest-worker backend with a sequential IPC child per page file. Keep absolute fixture roots, fixed session cwd and the three CLI error cases. Preserve error causes and compiler diagnostics; terminate on timeout or IPC loss. Cover recovery, overlap rejection, shutdown, cleanup and A-B-A builds.
Compare identical override scenarios with two and eight workers. Record child memory, exited PIDs, directory cleanup and open-handle checks. Mark the previous in-process report historical and update the reproduction runner.
Publish only the CLI launcher, dist, types and the Node preinstall check. Use release-version and changelog modes to stop preview before npm version; the installed release-it still updates package files in plain dry-run mode. Validate the tarball through a clean consumer install and CLI build. Verify preview leaves tracked files, HEAD and tags unchanged.
Run the opt-in session backend after CLI build tests on Linux and Windows with Node 22 and 24. Reuse the package build and retain CLI coverage. Validate all 33 scenarios locally on Node 22 and 24 with two workers.
Rebase explicit ./ and ../ requests in @use and @forward before merging shared and app styles, preserving as, show, hide and with. Rebase literal app url(...) values, including module configuration, and preserve query strings and fragments. Keep shared and app styles in one CSS module with the existing class identifiers, shared-to-app order and stylesheet routing. Use sass-loader additionalData to register existing and missing app overrides as watch dependencies. Emit preparation errors through the loader context. Separate request rewriting from merge ordering and deduplication. Cover rewriting, merging, two-app builds and watch updates with tests. Document supported cases, limitations and migration. BREAKING CHANGE: relative @use and @forward requests in app stylesheets now resolve from the app file instead of the shared file. To reuse a shared module intentionally, use an explicit path or configured alias to the shared directory.
