Description

Breaking Changes

• Drag a body to move it. A left-drag that starts inside a spatial annotation moves it (now including contour, tbar, and bbox3). A drag on a vertex handle edits the vertex, and a drag anywhere else draws. Hold Alt to draw over an annotation. Set allow_body_move: false for the old draw-everywhere behavior.
• The hover edit ring is gone. Hovering shows only the outline and the confidence card. To reclassify or delete, use the class and delete keybinds or the new context menu. show_id_dialog() lost thumbnail and suggest_edits() lost force_refresh. ULabelActionCandidate gained containing.

Added

• Context menu. Right-click a hovered annotation or an AnnotationList entry for Change class, Delete, Isolate / Show all, Details, and the items below. New show_context_menu(), hide_context_menu(), and is_context_menu_open().
• Copy and move between subtasks with Copy to / Move to or ctrl+c / ctrl+x / ctrl+v. The system clipboard holds JSON, so copies can be pasted into another ULabel instance whose image is the same size. A copy keeps its geometry, takes the target class matching its own (by id, then name), and records annotation_meta.copied_from. Both are undoable (paste_annotation / move_annotation). New config options paste_class_choice and paste_switch_to_target. New copy_annotation(), copy_annotation_to_clipboard(), paste_annotation_from_clipboard(), find_pasted_copy(), set_paste_switch_to_target() / get_paste_switch_to_target(), and the ULabelClipboardEnvelope type.
• Cross-subtask counterparts: annotations linked by copied_from or by the new annotation_link_meta_key config option. New find_counterparts(). The menu offers Delete from <subtask> (and Erase from <subtask> for bitmasks) via delete_counterparts(), recorded as one undoable action. Copy to / Move to ask before duplicating a counterpart; hide_copy_to_linked hides those targets instead.
• Isolate: an AnnotationList eye button (or the menu) hides all other annotations from the canvas and input until cleared. It is view-only. New isolate_annotation(), get_isolated_annotation_id(), and on_isolate_change.
• Edit focus: a per-subtask focus_edited option dims annotations not edited since load. Toggle it with the Edited Only checkbox, toggle_edit_focus_keybind (h), or set_focus_edited(). New on_focus_edited_change.
• Deprecated focus: Show Deprecated is now a per-subtask focus_deprecated option and is no longer persisted. Deprecated annotations are shown and in focus while live ones dim. Edits are locked except Restore and undo/redo, and a banner offers an Exit link. Toggle it with toggle_deprecated_focus_keybind (shift+d) or set_focus_deprecated(). New on_focus_deprecated_change.
• Restore menu item and restore_annotation() for human-deleted annotations.
• Submit buttons have two optional fields: subtasks (a whitelist of subtask keys) and edits_only (only annotations created, deleted, or modified since load, tagged with edit_type). New has_edits(subtasks?) reports whether an edits_only submit would send anything.
• on_annotation_change callback: fires for each action that changes annotations, or its undo/redo, with the other annotations it changed in affected. Set on_annotation_change_in_progress to also report continue_* actions.
• fly_to_on_undo (default true): an undo or redo whose changes are out of view centers the view on them.
• set_subtask_read_only(subtask_key, read_only) toggles read-only at runtime.
• Undo/redo in a read-only subtask now applies to the only writable subtask, for actions triggered from the read-only subtask (e.g. Copy to, Delete from). Actions record origin_subtask_key. New on_undo_redo_blocked callback.

Changed

• The polygon/polyline vertex-insert handle now sits at the hovered segment's midpoint, so dragging elsewhere on a polyline moves it.
• Editing a non-spatial note is now an undoable edit_text_payload action.
• last_edited_at / last_edited_by are now stamped on annotations an action changes indirectly (delete-mode victims, carved masks) and restored on undo.
• Cancelling an in-progress drawing removes it instead of deprecating it.
• Annotations deleted by erasing their vertices or by a polygon brush stroke keep their original geometry. A polygon brush stroke that deletes a polygon is one undo step.
• Brushes only affect annotations in focus.
• Read-only is enforced on the brush, undo/redo, and non-spatial rows.
• Escape closes the class pie.
• A click without a drag no longer records begin_move. Picking an annotation's current class no longer records assign_annotation_id.
• demo.js honors PORT, and demos load their image locally.

Fixed

• The hover confidence card overflowing the canvas near the image edges.
• A TypeError on the first brush stroke after a subtask switch or set_annotations().
• Undoing a brush stroke or a new layer on a loaded annotation leaving the session's edit stamp in place.
• Shift-hover in a read-only subtask starting a complex layer.
• A NaN circle radius error when entering a delete mode in a single-class subtask.
• Anchor buttons navigating the host page to #.

Breaking API Changes

• Breaking: hover + click-drag is now the default move interaction. A plain left-drag that starts inside a spatial annotation's body moves it; a drag that starts on a vertex edit handle still edits that vertex; a drag over empty canvas (or merely near an annotation's bounding box) starts a new annotation. Hold Alt to draw on top of an existing body (listed in the Keybinds toolbox item). New allow_body_move config option (default true) restores draw-everywhere behavior when false. Read-only subtasks and delete modes are unaffected. The canvas shows the move cursor whenever a left-drag would move the hovered annotation.
• Breaking: the hover edit ring is gone. The move handle, delete button, reclassify button, and id-dialog pie thumbnail that appeared around a hovered annotation have been removed; hovering now shows only the shape outline and the confidence card. Reclassify with a class keybind while hovering, delete with the delete keybind. show_id_dialog() lost its thumbnail parameter and suggest_edits() lost its force_refresh parameter; ULabelActionCandidate gained a containing flag.
