Change

Remove the deprecated Managed PUT /skills/{skill_id} wrapper from the unpublished Java 0.2.0 candidate. Delete synchronous, asynchronous and withResponse() update overloads and managed.SkillUpdateParams; adjust fixtures and the coverage inventory to 107 operations.

Managed Skill content updates use skills().versions().create(...). Version creation does not replace Skill metadata updates. This removal is Java-specific; Forward Skill APIs and other SDKs are unchanged.

Validation

  • make quality on JDK 17: format, repository checks and 38 maintenance tests passed.
  • make test on JDK 8 and JDK 17: each passed 1,239 SDK tests and 75 independent JAR consumer tests, with no failures or skips.
  • Sources/Javadoc and Java 8 package checks passed on both runtimes.
  • Packaged-consumer regression confirms all four Managed Skill service surfaces omit update and the removed parameter class is absent from the JAR.
  • Documentation and changelog updated; version remains 0.2.0.

No live requests were made for this removal. GitHub's JDK 11/21/25 matrix has not run locally. After merge, regenerate the 0.2.0 QA package from the merged SHA; earlier QA packages do not contain this change.
