CI, CodeQL and Coverage put every run on
mainin one concurrency group without cancelling, and GitHub keeps only one pending run per group. When two merges land while a run is in progress, the earlier one is dropped before it starts and that commit never gets a verdict onmain. sqlcipher-src lost the CI runs of two merged pull requests this way.A run on
mainnow gets a group keyed by its run id, so each landed commit keeps its run. Pull request branches still share one group per branch, so a new push still cancels the run it supersedes.
