Release notes: https://code.jlab.org/hallb/clas12/coatjava/ccdbrcdb-java/-/releases/2.1

Excludes protobuf since unnecessary, to avoid dependency convergence conflict.

This is the first release of ccdbrcdb-java that's based on our ccdb/rcdb forks, right?

Correct, this new version 2.1 uses our forks.

Note that its ccdb submodule points to the current v1-main-java branch, not the default v1-main-python3 branch. The v1-main-python3 branch is based off of older Kotlin code, so I needed to cherry pick the patches that previously were held in ccdbrcdb-java to apply to to the newer Kotlin code which we were actually using here with ccdbrcdb-java version 2.0. That was confusing to say, but maybe the commit DAG will help illustrate: https://code.jlab.org/hallb/clas12/ccdb/-/network/e25e13063010c69cdd677408d1b4a9ae6eb4c5ab

In other words:

  • v1-main-java for Java consumers, i.e., coatjava
  • v1-main-python3 for everyone else, viz., C++
