P3: remote MCP server and Alan plugin - #4
Merged
Merged
Conversation
- POST /api/mcp: stateless Streamable HTTP MCP server (JSON responses,
new server per request) with two read-only tools:
- verify_pr: check every claim in a PR; returns the markdown report
and a compact JSON summary.
- check_claims: check claims an agent is about to write against the
PR's diff and CI before posting them. Draft reports never enter the
report cache.
- The repo is an Alan plugin marketplace: .cursor-plugin/marketplace.json
and plugins/receipts/ (manifest, mcp.json, receipts-verify skill, logo).
Passes tryalan-ai/plugins' scripts/validate.mjs. mcp.json gets the
deployment URL once the app is on Vercel.
- Logo doubles as the site icon.

What's in it
MCP server (
POST /api/mcp): stateless Streamable HTTP with JSON responses and a fresh server per request, so it runs on serverless functions. Two read-only tools:verify_pr({ pr_url, fresh? })checks every claim in a PR and returns the markdown report (ready to post as a PR comment) plus a compact JSON summary.check_claims({ pr_url, claims[] })checks the claims an agent is about to write against the PR's real diff and CI. The draft replaces the PR text as the extraction source, and draft reports never enter the report cache. Both tools share the web app's per-IP rate limit.
GETandDELETEreturn 405.Alan plugin: the repo root is an Alan plugin marketplace (
.cursor-plugin/marketplace.json+plugins/receipts/), so an Alan admin can addCodeGovindz/receiptsas a marketplace and install Receipts. The folder contains the manifest (categorycode-and-ci),mcp.json, areceipts-verifyskill and a logo. It passestryalan-ai/plugins'scripts/validate.mjs:✓ 1 plugins, 1 MCP servers, 1 skills.Verified locally (next dev + curl)
initializeandtools/listreturn both tools with read-only annotations.verify_pron Fix typo in section title for generated files github/docs#46488 returned PASS in 15s.check_claimson the same PR with a draft claiming "Adds unit tests for the docs renderer" returned FAIL: the typo fix was verified, the tests claim was contradicted ("no test files appear in the changed-files list"), and an invented export removal was unverified. 12s.npm test: 155 passing. Lint and build are clean.Still to do
plugins/receipts/mcp.jsonpoints at a placeholder host until the app is deployed on Vercel.
