ProtocolZero

Converts .fbmod files to .fbproject for Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2.

If you've ever wanted to crack open a compiled Frosty mod and see what's inside, or pull it into Frosty Editor to tweak it yourself, that's what this does. Supports fbmod v1 through v5 (new format), handles EBX/RES/Chunk/Bundle resources, and resolves bundle hashes against your game install if you point it at one.

Download

Grab the latest build from Releases.

  • ProtocolZero.UI - the GUI, drag and drop
  • ProtocolZero - CLI version

Usage

GUI

Drop an .fbmod onto the window, set game dir if you want bundle resolution (it'll try to auto-detect), hit Convert.

CLI

ProtocolZero <input.fbmod> <output.fbproject> [options]

  -g, --gamedir <path> PvZ GW2 install directory
  -V, --verbose Verbose output
  -v, --version Print version
  -h, --help Print help
  --validate <file> Validate a .fbproject
--diag <file> Check for duplicate EBX entries in a .fbmod

Example:

ProtocolZero mymod.fbmod mymod.fbproject -g "C:\Program Files\EA Games\Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2"
